Meeting with Caroline Lissoir "Ikkim’o"
Ikkim'o, an authentic, timeless, responsible, different concept, unique models, for women and for men, hand -woven with love, reviews and revisited indefinitely, day after day, season after season ...
A long process that contributes to preserving and highlighting the know-how of craftsmen mainly from various Indonesian ethnic minorities.
A mixture of ikats and sarongs, new, old or recycled, which can present subtle variations of colors and textures, signatures of the human hand.
Ikkim'o A meeting between enthusiasts ...
Hello Caroline, where do you draw your inspiration?
Hello Anne, thank you for your invitation and for your warm welcome!
Each discovery, each meeting can be a source of inspiration ...
I try to be attentive to what I feel, the people who surround me on a daily basis.
I like to observe, listen, touch, learn ...
What made you want to do this job?
From a very young age I have evolved in the fashion world. It all started with my mom who held a ready-to-wear store, as well as a tailor-made clothing workshop (wedding suite, cocktail ...) hence the taste for beautiful fabrics and details.
Then I joined another Belgian institution where I also learned a lot of things.
I was then absorbed by the world of spectacle and events, organization, costumes, sets, staging ...
What is your background in a few words?
I am a self -taught, these different courses have made me what I am today including Ikkim’o.
What do you inspire the city of Biarritz?
Biarritz was a very nice discovery for me. I did not know this part of France.
I walked for hours to discover the center of this refined city bordered by magnificent beaches, Belle Époque villas, cafes, restaurants ...
A relaxed atmosphere, a mixture between local communities, between surfers and walkers, where an art of living, eating, partying ...
I will gladly come back to also discover its surroundings ...
What are everyday things that make you happy
My children, my family, my friends ...
A ray of sunshine...
A few drops of rain ...
A scent ...
But surely being able to do today what I really like ...
My happy clients ...
The various meetings with passionate people ...
As well as a lot of other little things ...
